We introduced our #OnlyatSani safety protocol in 2020. With discreet yet thorough measures throughout the resort, we welcomed 10,000 guests to enjoy our natural surroundings and saw zero cases of Covid all season. Our 100% successful environment includes the latest technology, onsite testing and healthcare, creating a protected space where guests can feel free and safe in the Sani Sanctuary.


For Safe Entry and Departure

in Greece 

Tests: Travellers arriving in Greece must have a negative PCR or Rapid Antigen test certificate.

Rapid Antigen: Test taken no more than 48h before arrival

PCR: Test taken no more than 72h before arrival

Vaccinations: If a traveller is vaccinated, and 14 days have elapsed since the last dose required for a complete vaccination, then proof of a negative test is not required. See a list of approved vaccinations. 

Children: The Greek government has exempted children under the age of 12 from the COVID-19 requirements, including proof that they have tested negative. 

Self-Isolation: Arrivals from the following countries are exempt from the need to self-isolate upon arrival in Greece should they meet the aforementioned criteria:

EU & Schengen Area countries, USA, UK, Israel, Serbia, UAE, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Rwanda, Singapore, and the Russian Federation.

All inbound travellers must complete their PLF the day before entering the country, providing detailed information on their point of departure, previous stays in other countries, and the address of their stay while in Greece.

Getting you home safe

At Sani, we want every part of your journey to be worry-free. Guests will receive a Complimentary Rapid Antigen test on arrival. If requested, we’d be delighted to arrange a pre-departure test too.
Alongside Rapid Antigen tests, we also do full PCR testing* at our onsite test centres and your results are delivered to your room. You can book your test via guest relations or choose a contactless experience by scanning one of the QR codes found across the resort. Once booked, head to your hotel’s designated test centre, run in collaboration with Euroclinic, and a medical professional will carry out your test quickly and safely.  
*Upon departure, Rapid Antigen tests can be arranged at an extra cost of 25€, while full PCR testing incurs a charge of 60€ per person.


With testing carried out for guests and employees, Sani Resort’s private setting and extensive space offers a Covid-secure haven for families, a mini self-contained world within itself. A boundless space inside and out with the Sani Forest and the Sani Wetlands offering a wide range of outdoor activities in unique natural surroundings.

Here at Sani, you’ll never feel crowded. Our majestic 1,000 acre eco-reserve has an endless range of outdoor experiences to enjoy, 7km of soft, sandy beaches, 110 hectares of protected wetlands to explore, and over 20km of lush forest trails to adventure by bike or on foot. A wide range of al fresco private dining options are available in your private garden, on the beach or in a secluded natural setting. The great outdoors has never been so precious.

Going above and beyond the standard safety measures, we leave absolutely nothing to chance for your protection. To ensure you and your family enjoy the unique holiday experience that only Sani can provide, we have introduced world-class health and safety measures in compliance with the World Health Organization, the Greek government health authorities and TUV Austria with their Covid Shield certification.

Tests for Guests & Staff

As part of our safety protocol, staff are tested. Guests may also take complimentary Rapid Antibody tests during their stay, and non-invasive temperature measuring devices are also available.

Arrival & Transportation

Protective measures and equipment ensure your safe transfer to the resort, while adapted public areas provide for effective social distancing with reduced points of access and limited dedicated entrances. Transfer from airport is carried out only with guests of the same room permitted per car or minibus which are thoroughly disinfected after each use.

Guest Rooms

Guest rooms are disinfected and deep cleaned with a hospital-grade aerial surface disinfection machine, while amenities include PPE Safety Kit providing masks and hand sanitisers, stringent water testing, A/C cleaning, disinfection for every room change and contactless in-room dining service. All in-room print collaterals are replaced by digital documents and services via the Sani App.

A La Carte dining, open air restaurants and bars along with contactless menus and table service mean that the renowned Sani dining experience remains intact. Measures include restaurant capacity reduction enabling ample social distancing, sanitisation of all facilities and measures compliance by all staff. Beaches & Pools

Seven idyllic beaches, beautiful shallow waters and 7km of soft silky sand within a private landscape that’s never crowded.  All beach beds and lounge chairs are spaced at least 4m apart, giving you an area all to yourselves. Sunbeds, pool areas and equipment are disinfected while increased water quality controls take place.

Leisure Activities

Guests can take advantage of our open-air gym, fitness programmes, pine forest and wetlands, while Sani Academies and the Sani Treetop Adventure will operate with a limited number of participants. Spas are to be used by appointment only, with all spaces sanitised after each use. Kids clubs, babysitting and children’s activities will follow a monitored operation with digital pre-bookings.

At Sani Resort, we are continuously monitoring the development of the COVID-19 outbreak and have set the wellbeing, health and safety of our staff and guests as our top priority. We fully comply with the guidelines of competent health authorities and have put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, we cannot guarantee that our guests will not be exposed to the virus. Guests are requested to take self-protective measures and adhere to the Covid-19 relevant house rules to minimise any exposure to the virus. By visiting Sani Resort, or attending any of its activities, guests acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and the risk of exposure or infection by COVID-19. Sani Resort does not accept any liability and guests agree to withhold Sani from any claims of any kind arising out of, or relating thereto.

Hotel Operations Policies & Adjustments

We are taking responsible actions to protect our people and guests during their stay with us. Within this unique resort, we have created a new set of house rules for your safety, accompanied by sanitisation protocols, safety methods and operational procedures. We provide full information on the limited or restricted offering at present, thus no claims or requests for discounts can be accepted due to these adjustments, which are in place for the welfare and safety of all guests and staff.


A complimentary Rapid Antigen test will be offered to all non fully-vaccinated guests, on site, upon arrival at the resort. Guests not willing to take this test will not be eligible for accommodation, for the safety of all our guests and staff. Should a guest exhibit symptoms during their stay, as defined by our onsite doctors, they will be required to undergo a molecular test on site. Full PCR testing is available on site, upon request.

Please note that all travellers must complete their PLF until the day before entering the country, providing detailed information on their point of departure, the duration of previous stays in other countries, and the address of their stay while in Greece. Guests holding proof of a negative 72h PCR test, in accordance with international flight inbound entry requirements to Greece, are exempt from testing.
