Closing this year’s Sani Festival with a journey through the gypsy music tradition, is the world-renowned Gipsy Kings featuring Tonino Baliardo. Cousin of the great Manatas De Plata, the founder and leader of Gipsy Kings, Tonino Baliardo is a guitar virtuoso and highly esteemed composer, known for much-loved hits such as ‘Bamboleo’ and ‘Djobi Djoba’. As undisputed masters of gypsy music, the group has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and has been awarded numerous gold, platinum, and diamond records, as well as a Grammy Award in 2013 in the Best World Music category for the album ‘Savor Flamenco’. Tonino Baliardo has also collaborated on notable projects such as remixing ‘Hotel California’ for the film The Big Lebowski and contributing to Toy Story III with ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’. The Gipsy Kings featuring Tonino Baliardo’s latest acclaimed album release, ‘Renaissance’, showcases their unparalleled talent with tracks like the sensational ‘Chica Del Sol’.
