Al Di Meola, one of the greatest guitarists of our times, will play the second Jazz on the Hill concert of 2022, revisiting Greece after 20 years. His ongoing fascination with complex rhythmic syncopation combined with provocative lyrical melodies and sophisticated harmony has been at the core of his music throughout a celebrated career that has spanned more than four decades. Al Di Meola has earned numerous accolades, including four gold albums, with over six million records sold worldwide, the Honorary Miles Davis Award, a BBC Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as numerous Grammy nominations and awards. He is the repeat recipient of the most prestigious guitar awards given, a total of 12 awards from Guitar Player Magazine polls and, as a result, in included in their Gallery of Greats. As magnificent guitar virtuoso, he attracts crowds of guitar aficionados to every concert he performs. Al Di Meola will perform with his Guitar Trio, in front of the historical Sani Tower, his smooth melodies resplendent in this unique setting.
